Padraig Harrington with the Wilson TW9 wedge
Padraig Harrington could provide thousands of golfers with their money back should he complete the third leg of his ‘Paddy Slam’ by winning the Masters in April, as Wilson pledge to reimburse golfers who purchased the TW9 wedge.
Those eligible for this promotion must have purchased any Wilson Staff TW9 wedge across the UK between 1 March and 9 April 2009. Should the Irishman come out on top at Augusta National, Wilson will offer a refund up to £84.99.
Harrington used the 54° and 60° TW9 wedges to great effect at Royal Birkdale last year in his Open defence and then at Oakland Hills where he claimed his first US Major, the USPGA Championship.
The TW9 wedges come in seven different loft options in increments of two degrees from 48° to 60°, allowing players to pick the right combinations to minimise gaps between their clubs. They are also available in two different finishes – anti-glare satin or black PVD.
“Padraig clinched both his second Open title and the US PGA victory with a variety of memorable shots around the greens and the TW9 wedges played a big part in his success,” said Doug Wright, Business Director for Wilson Golf in Europe.
“Now we’re backing his performance in Augusta - where he finished tied 5th last year - with a promotion that offers golfers a great deal.”
