Odyssey 1 Million Euro Putt

Golfers buying a new Odyssey putter could be in the running for the biggest putt of their lives – a 100-foot putt for €1 million

By buying and registering an Odyssey putter from a Callaway Golf preferred retailer, in-store or online, between March 1 and September 30, 2009, golfers can start the entry process for the 1 Million Euro Putt challenge.

The competition will reach a climax in Dubai where one amateur golfer will stand over a 100-foot putt that could earn them €1 million if their ball drops.

Neil Howie, president of Callaway Golf Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "It’s one thing watching one of the pros putting for big money on TV, but to witness an amateur have a single putt for this life-changing amount of money will be very special indeed.”

Odyssey’s ‘Road to Dubai’ starts with a 'Spot the Ball' competition. Once golfers have made their purchase they can register themselves and the serial number of their putter on the website and have a guess at spotting the correct location.

Ten golfers with the nearest guesses will be flown to Dubai in November, for a two-night stay where they will compete in the competition's next stage - a putt-off challenge, after which one golfer will progress with a single chance to putt for €1 million.

For the ten winners of the 'Spot the Ball' competition, flights to Dubai, transfers, hotel accommodation and breakfast are included in the prize. Full terms and conditions can be found on mycallaway.eu.
