This week’s equipment guide takes a brief look at those irons at the upper end of the golf market. It follows our review of some quality clubs under the £400 mark. The lower launch angle makes them versatile for the better striker and despite being small, they are actually more forgiving than we expected:

Mizuno MP 52 irons, £85 per club
Another beautiful set of Mizuno irons. The small cavity will attract decent strikers who are put off by the uncompromising demands of blades:

Nike VR Split Cavity irons, £630
Over the ball they look like a blade but from the back you can see a cavity that helps forgiveness. Any decent ball striker will like the forged feel:
