TaylorMade's new R9 Ti fairway wood

TaylorMade has introduced the new R9 Ti fairway woods with TaylorMade's new Flight Control Technology (FCT) that allows players to adjust the face angle, loft and lie.

FCT in the R9 Ti fairway woods promotes a side-to-side trajectory change of up to 35 yards, helping players to achieve straighter, longer shots. FCT also allows players to create the look they prefer at address, with the face angle either square, slightly closed or slightly open.

TaylorMade now offers two R9 fairway woods: the original TaylorMade R9 with FCT and steel head construction; and the new R9 Ti with FCT and titanium head construction. Compared to the R9, the R9 Ti head is larger (190 cc R9 Ti 3-wood vs. 165 cc R9 3-wood) and the centre of gravity is lower and deeper to make it easier to launch the ball higher and longer. Also, the R9 Ti incorporates more draw-promoting characteristics and the shafts measure one-half inch longer to promote more clubhead speed and distance.

The TaylorMade R9 Ti fairway wood comes equipped with a RE*AX 60-gram Aldila graphite shaft. Loft options include: 3-wood (15°), 4-wood (18°) and 5-wood (21°); S, R, M and L flex shafts in right hand only. Availability begins on October 26 at a recommended retail price (RRP) of £239 per club.
