Avantha Masters golf betting: Form guide

Mark Brown's form means he doesn't make the betting shortlist

Last year's 1000/1 Irish Open winner has since turned professional and showed it was no fluke. Recent top fives in Abu Dhabi and Japan must make the Irishman a live contender if enjoying Indian conditions.

RICK KULACZ

This young Australian entered a few notebooks when finishing fourth in the recent African Open, but is hard to fancy having struggled on this course just four months ago.

SEUNG-YUL NOH

This big-hitting, very highly-rated young prospect is always interesting at this level, but will struggle if repeating last week's extreme inaccuracy.

MARCUS FRASER

Made the top 15 here two years ago and fared best of these last week in Dubai. Fraser has a very poor win and place ratio though, despite generally being consistent.

ANDREW DODT

Consecutive top-seven finishes in Australasia over the past fortnight, plus a top-ten in the high-class Singapore Open, bring Dodt into the picture.

RICHIE RAMSAY

One of the better prospects to emerge on last year's European Tour, highlighted by winning the season-ending South African Open. That entitles Ramsay to great respect in this weaker field, but he's never played in India before.

CHAPCHAI NIRAT

Nirat has plenty of form at this level, and won his most recent event in India last March. He's done little of note recently though, and missed the cut here in 2008.

ARJUN ATWAL

Atwal has been a trailblazer for Indian golf, winning on the European and Nationwide tours and contending several times on the PGA Tour. He's also won at DLF before, albeit a decade ago. If he was in form, Atwal would rate a strong fancy, but a pair of 77s last week in Dubai and a miserable recent run suggest the opposite.

JOOST LUITEN

This Dutch youngster looked an outstanding prospect on his first European starts a couple of years ago, but problems with injury and form have set his progress back. Sixth in the recent Joburg Open offers cause for hope.

MARK BROWN

Brown won the Johnnie Walker Classic on this course two years ago, and has a great record in India. However, he's in nowhere near the same form this time.
