Two-time Major winner, Tony Jacklin CBE, is ready to host the prestigious Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship 2010, with the action set to get underway tomorrow at Nailcote Hall Hotel, Warwickshire.

Jacklin, who won the Open Championship in 1969 and US Open in 1970, will be hosting the event for the third year running in what marks the 40th anniversary of his US Open victory.

"Having thoroughly enjoyed the last two years hosting the British Par 3 I am very much looking forward to returning again this year," said Jacklin.

"Nailcote Hall Hotel has idyllic surroundings and we are always treated like royalty by our hosts Rick and Sue Cressman."

The Pro-Am will give amateurs the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play alongside some true golfing legends, including Tommy Horton MBE, a winner of four European Tour titles and 22 titles on the Senior's Tour. Gordon J Brand, David J Russell and Malcolm Gregson will also pair up with amateur golfers to compete.

As well as attracting Ryder Cup legends, this year's event will also be attended by two-time British Amateur champion, Gary Wolstenholme MBE, who beat a young Tiger Woods in the 1995 Walker Cup.

Carl Mason, course record holder at Nailcote Hall, will also be taking part in the action, as will 2007 French Open winner, Graeme Storm, and Faldo Series winner of 2003, 2004 and 2005, Ollie Fisher.

In all, this year's field includes two Major titles, 40 European Tour titles, 68 European Senior's Tour titles, four PGA titles, two British Amateur Championships and one Ryder Cup.

The Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship takes place on August 10-13, 2010 and for more information, including ticket sales, contact Champions (UK) Plc on 08453 313 031 or visit britishpar3championship.co.uk
