TaylorMade's new Burner 2.0 irons

TaylorMade adidas Golf has announced the
launch of the new TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons. The Burner 2.0 irons have been designed to offer the same trademark Burner distance as previous models but with greater levels of feel and playability.

TaylorMade has engineered each iron individually so that important performance attributes are felt through the different clubs in the set. With the centre of gravity lower and deeper in the long irons, players can expect better ball flights from long range and greater control and feel in the short irons. The sole has been designed to help improve turf drag for a better strike.

Bret Wahl, TaylorMade's senior director of iron research and develop said, "we've succeeded at creating a better-performing iron with the Burner 2.0, which is just as long, easier to play and more refined in its' feel and sound."

Crucially, TaylorMade's own stock shafts offer different kick points through the set. This means that in the long irons the kick point is lower to help promote a higher flight. Alternatively, in the short irons a higher kick point promotes control.

TaylorMade's new Burner 2.0 irons will come with a recommended retail price of £549 in steel and £649 in graphite.

What benefit would I get from purchasing a set with graphite shafts instead of the cheaper steel ones? I'm 57 with a 14 handicap.
