Trevose gets my vote - hardly a hidden gem given its profile but definitely one of the finest links courses in the UK - and it's good all year round.
Not only that you get an unbelivebaly warm reception, unlike any other i have ever received at a golf club. They've got some sensational accommodation options as well, and with all their facilities on site it's a fab place to take the family. Gets my vote...
