Cruel School

Cruel School explains the increasing importance of the end-of-season tour. The annual examination proves to be a daunting task for golfers, often referred to as “golf’s torture chamber.” Golfer’s success is crucial at this event.

“When the PGA Tour’s Q School in American stopped offering direct entry to main tour events in 2013, the European Tour’s School became the biggest and most important qualifying tournament in world golf. A book to mark the 40th anniversary underlines its importance,” says Biddiscombe.

The Q school expert has written news stories, features and blogs, in addition to two other books that focus on the European Tour’s tournament first stages in 1976. Published in 2008 and 2009, both are titled Golf On the Edge. He discusses the struggles golfers who are regulars at the Q School face.

Cruel School provides original interviews and insightful tales about the critical tour. It’s not only a first step intto the professional golf world, but a make or break moment for golfer’s future aspirations.
