Good morning from a sunny Augusta National. The forecast for today is pretty much the same as yesterday although we are expecting a fraction more wind.
Westwood and Poulter will tee off together at 2.45pm local time (7.45pm UK time) in the final group behind Tiger Woods and KJ Choi. In their respective press conferences yesterday the Englishmen had both spoken about a match they had during one of the practice rounds earlier this week. Westwood beat Poulter 4&3 over 9-holes and pocketed a healthy sum in the process. The former told the press that to Poulter, "every pound was a prisoner."
The two are obviously good friends and leading the tournament together may help to spread the pressure. Tiger Woods, in the group in front, will take the bulk of the crowd with him leaving a relatively serene atmosphere for the two leaders. You get the feeling that both for Westwood and Poulter, chances to win majors will not get much better than this.
