A guide to the tenth hole at Oakmont Country Club ahead of the 2016 US Open

US Open 2016 Oakmont Country Club: Hole 10

Hole 10 – 462 yards – Par 4

The tenth tee shot is a tricky one – it’s downhill and very narrow. Bunkers right and left are ready to punish anything missing the fairway.

Most players, after a good drive, will have a mid iron into this green which slopes from front-right to back-left.

Two green side bunkers protect the right side of the putting surface and there’s also a bunker front-left – a fade off this is the shot to play.

Expect to see a lot of balls at back-left on this green where two putts up the hill will be difficult but should be feasible.
