Hole 9 – Par 4 – 477 yards

After the tough eighth hole, the front-nine’s closer doesn’t offer players any respite.

The ninth at Oakmont is a special hole, playing towards the stunning clubhouse.

A par-5 for members, this long par-4 plays up hill with a blind tee shot.

There’s a ditch left and five pot bunkers right so anything that misses the fairway is in big trouble.

The putting surface is huge and undulating and well protected by large bunkers short right and left.

A par here feels like a birdie.
