Rob Smith has been a contributing editor for Golf Monthly since 2012 specialising in course reviews and travel. He has now played more than 1,100 courses, seldom troubling the scorers, in approaching 50 countries. In 2019 he played 86 courses in England, Ireland and Wales, as well as in Spain, Germany and Bulgaria, the Dominican Republic, Vietnam… and the Isle of Wight !

Rob is a member of Tandridge Golf Club in Surrey where he very rarely plays to his handicap of 14.
