The Rosemount course winds serenely through mature pines. The tight fairways demand accuracy but finding the short grass will reward you with a shot from the finest turf.

The greens are always immaculate and in the summer can be extremely fast. Forging a good score here requires creative shot-making and good scrambling abilities.

For me, one of the course’s most attractive qualities is its variety: par 4s from 285 up to 475 yards, four par 3s and four par 5s.

Every hole demands careful thought and a unique approach. In my opinion, it’s one of Scotland’s finest inland courses. FB
