Sun Mountain H2NO Lite Stand Bag

Editor’s Choice 2019

With Sun Mountain’s H2NO Lite Bag, you really do get what you pay for. On the face of it, paying this much for a carry bag might seem like a hefty investment, but that’s exactly what it is – an investment. The golf bag is probably not an item of equipment golfers don’t tend to replace that often; it tends to get overlooked. However, if your clubs are your pride and joy, your bag should be up to the job in protecting them, whilst those who enjoy carrying shouldn’t compromise on comfort – the H2NO Lite Bag ticks every box.

Sun Mountain is a proven force in the world of golf bags. In recent years, the brand has been pioneering in terms of stands, straps and various other design touches, while its dedication to detail is reflected in each and every model.

As the name would suggest, there’s nothing cumbersome about the H2NO Lite. Lightweight at just 5.2lbs (2.16kgs), this mid-size stand bag also provides complete weather protection in a 100% waterproof package. Considering the very changeable British weather, waterproof quality is something to consider whatever time of the year you buy a bag.

Then comes the design itself, and the subtle extra touches that strengthen its appeal. The flared top makes it easier to remove clubs, whilst the E-Z fir dual strap ensures a balanced carry. Comfort has been especially well considered, the new comfort hip pad one example of this.

Not everyone enjoys carrying. Lugging extra weight is certainly a concern for many, although the bag’s Velcro leg locking system allows the bag to be placed on a trolley should you find yourself not wanting to carry on a particular day. Meanwhile, the lift assist handle built into the lower spine pocket enhances ease of use. With some striking new colours for 2019, their visual appeal has been improved further still.
