Galvin Green Dixon Insula Sweater

Established in 1990 by Swedish entrepreneur Tomas Nilsson, Galvin Green has been helping golfers deal with changing weather conditions for 30 years. The company sets the benchmark for performance wear with their products offering the very highest levels of comfort and protection from the elements.

Editor’s Choice 2020

Galvin Green’s INSULA technology features tiny air chambers that are built into the fabric to help retain body heat and keep you warm in colder weather.

The Dixon INSULA is a full-zip sweater that’s lightweight and breathable as well as providing that excellent thermal protection.

Perfect mid-layer

It’s extremely soft with stretch properties to ensure a snug fit and allow freedom of movement through the swing. It’s an extremely comfortable garment and it’s ideal as a mid-layer to wear under a Galvin Green Gore-Tex or Windstopper jacket.

Machine washable, the Dixon is also a durable, hard-wearing sweater that will take anything you throw at it.

We’ve found it to be a very versatile garment. It certainly does work well as an intermediate layer but, on cool but not super-cold days, we’ve also found it useful as a stylish outer layer.

Excellent stretch properties

The stretch properties are excellent, and it feels super soft next to the skin. The design allows for full freedom of movement through the swing and it’s easily put on and taken off thanks to the full-zip finish.

It’s a good-looking sweater with a contemporary fit. Available in four colour options, it features a contrast geometric pattern on the sleeves and a Galvin Green logo on the rear of the neck.

Offering a snug but not restrictive fit, breathability, thermal protection and a contemporary style, the Galvin Green Dixon INSULA is an impressive and versatile garment that will enhance any serious golfer’s wardrobe.
