PowaKaddy FX7 GPS

PowaKaddy may be the top-selling brand when it comes to electric trolleys in the UK but that doesn’t mean in 2020 it is resting on its laurels. Far from it, in fact, as it has recently unveiled a new logo and more importantly, its new flagship model for 2020.

Editor’s Choice 2020

The popular Freeway range has been renamed the FX collection, recognizing that this will be the tenth generation of Freeway trolleys, and the most cutting edge trolley within it is the FX7 GPS.

It features a 3.5” OCA high visibility full colour Touch Screen that displays distances to the front, middle and back of the green via the integrated GPS. It also displays hazard information for over 40,000 pre-loaded courses and offers a Scorecard function to keep track of your round.

It also benefits from a simple, one-click folding system and thanks to the removal of the central pillar, fold down 20 per cent smaller than the previous versions. Underneath the screen is PowaKaddy’s new anti-damper dial control and improved accuracy speed controller, which stops you accidentally knocking the button with your club as you remove it, saving you the embarrassment of having to chase your trolley down the fairway.

The new Plug’n’Play battery is the compact, thin and lightweight, plus the new top mounted, easy access on/off switch along with the clever battery release latch makes it easier to get in and out of the trolley.

PowaKaddy trolleys get better every year and the engineering feats that take place at its factory down in its Sittingbourne factory, Kent, are well worthy of recognition in Editor’s Choice. The new frame design is thoughtful and clever, while so much has gone into the design of the screen to make it clear and useable in different light and weather conditions. If you like features and want to make your playing partners jealous, the FX7 GPS will do just the job.
