Under Armour Isochill Polo
Under Armour has made a huge impact on the golf clothing scene in recent years. It takes more than ambassadors like three-time Major winner Jordan Spieth to make golfers take note of the product. What Under Armour has done well is marry style with technology that appeals to a wide audience. The brand already has a fine reputation in other sports, now it’s forging a similar one on the golf scene.
Garments like the Iso-Chill polo shirt, new for Spring/Summer 2019, epitomise what the brand is about. A shirt is not just a shirt; with UA it has to give the golfer supreme comfort – which is what the Iso-Chill does in even the warmest conditions.
Bring on the heat
The name alone will grab your attention if you’re browsing a hot pro shop this summer, and the technology backs it up. The lightweight fabric helps disperse body heat, making it feel cool to the touch, whilst moisture wicking properties aid comfort and keep golfers dry with no chafing or clinging.
Meanwhile, its four-way stretch construction enhances the range of motion, so there’s never a chance of feeling restricted during the swing. You might not be able to see such technology, but you’d notice it if it wasn’t there – and your game and concentration levels would suffer.
Jordan is set to put Iso-Chill through its paces at The Masters, and his smart Saturday shirt, the green of which will certainly look the part at Augusta, may just encourage a few of you to start thinking about this season’s wardrobe.
With a number of other eye-catching styles in the range – including bold stripes, blocks and more subtle colour combinations – this looks set to be one of the year’s standout collections. It’s certainly one of our favourites.
