TaylorMade r7 CGB Max fairway
Golf Monthly Verdict

I quickly adjusted to the initially unusual head shape and colour of this fairway wood, which launched the ball much higher than my own. Cutty-feeling shots didn't stray as far off-line as their swings would have had me believe.

Why you can trust Golf Monthly Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test.

The distinctive triangular head shape of this metal wood sets the centre of gravity way back from the face, making it easy to launch, and highly stable on mis-hits. It contains adjustable weights, so that you can play around with your ball flight.
