The Ulsterman showed that his putting is back on track and picked up 405 fantasy golf points for his efforts.
Casey, who held the 54 hole lead and shot two over on the final day, came second on his own and earned 345 points to be the high scoring Englishman.
Alex Noren won the European Masters at the stunning Crans-Sur-Sierre for his second European Tour win in the space of two months.
The Swede won the Scottish Open in July and, like McIlroy, earned a total of 405 points this week.
