It was an excellent week for the English at their home tournament and none more so than for Matt Fitzpatrick.

The 21-year-old won his first European Tour title at the British Masters, shooting a final round 68 to finish two clear of Soren Kjeldsen, Fabrizio Zanotti and Shane Lowry.

Also finishing T13 or better were Luke Donald, Anthony Wall, Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton, Oliver Fisher, Chris Wood and Richard Bland.

Last week we tipped Lowry, Zanotti and Kiradech Aphibarnrat to top their categories and they did so successfully.

Who’s hot and who’s not

With a shortage of American players, David Lipsky and Peter Uihlein were both popular drafts along with Francesco Molinari.

Brooks Koepka, Jason Day and Hideki Matsuyama were three of the most common outgoing transfers.
