Who Is Alex Noren's Caddie?

Alex Noren currently has a man called Mark Crane on the bag, who has previously worked with Tyrrell Hatton and Chris Wood.

He caddied for both players at the Ryder Cup, in 2018 and 2016 respectively. He also caddied for Lloyd Saltman when he won the Silver Medal as leading amateur in the 2005 Open Championship at St Andrews along with a lengthy spell with another fellow Scot, Richie Ramsay.

Crane took on Hatton's bag in 2018 and he spoke of the partnership before the Ryder Cup saying;

“I think I’ve got to stay cool, don’t I,” said Crane. “He’s a bit crackers at times, which he’ll admit, but there’s no point in us both being crackers, so I try to be laid back and be a calming influence on him.

“He wants the best, he’s not been on tour so long, he’s maturing and he’s still a young guy. But he is what he is, that’s what got him here so you can’t take that fire out of his belly. He goes through his routine and that gets his best golf, who cares so long as we win that trophy on Sunday.”

We are unsure when Noren and Crane started working together.

Noren used to have Lee Warne on the bag. He used to be a greenkeeper at BMW PGA Championship venue Wentworth before joining Noren as his caddie.

Warne put that crucial Wentworth knowledge to good use in 2017, when he helped Noren establish a new final round course record of 62 on his way to winning the tournament.

Warne had been with Noren since the summer of 2016 and been on the bag for his four victories that year at the Scottish Open, European Masters, British Masters and Nedbank Golf Challenge.

He was then with him during his Wentworth win and his 2018 Open de France victory at Le Golf National, venue for the 2018 Ryder Cup where Noren managed to contribute two points from three matches. However we are unsure when their partnership ended and Noren teamed up with Crane.

Prior to teaming up with Lee Warne, Noren had Colin Byrne on the bag. Byrne is now caddying for successful Spaniard Rafa Cabrera Bello.
