The young girl conquered a 109 yard hole to win her prize.
A hole-in-one. A thing of beauty and among one of many things we don’t normally need an incentive to achieve on the golf course.
However, 11-year-old Chloe did get a rather special incentive to make a hole-in-one at a golf club in Kentucky earlier this year.
Chloe’s father told his daughters that a puppy would be theirs if they could ace a hole at Clear Creek Golf Center in Shelbyville.
This would be a big ask even for an experienced golfer, who might be satisfied with merely landing the ball to within 6 feet.
Yet, Chloe had other ideas.
She and her sister, Jenna, are recorded lining up attempts on the 105 yard hole 5, but neither, despite meticulous set-ups, can find the cup.
They moved on to hole 6, where Chole started to work her magic.
She launched her shot towards the pin, over the water and watched it roll in from 15 ft, much to her delight and, we suspect, her father’s disbelief.
With the 109 yard hole conquered, we take our hats off and hope this inspires those among us who are yet to complete such a worthy feat.
