FootJoy has announced the launch of the innovative new wet-weather FJ RainGrip Xtreme glove, designed for optimum performance in adverse conditions.

The new glove, which follows on from the FJ RainGrip, utilises 3M Gripping Material that increases traction by up to 80% in wet and humid conditions.

This material - also complemented by stretch-fit Autosuede Knit Palm technology - runs across the palm and thumb and aids grip through thousands of miniscule sticky fingers.

New technological innovations are also evident in the back and finger departments. QwikDry knit mesh provides advance quick-drying properties, breathability and flexibility, and is supplemented by an Angled ComforTab closure system, FJ Tour logo, Dual-Elastic on the back of the hand and an Easy Tee Access slot.

"This is an exciting launch for FJ as our mantra has always been to Make Every Day Playable and the new FJ RainGrip Xtreme certainly adheres to this philosophy," said Russell Lawes, FootJoy's European Marketing Manager.

"Our design team has looked closely at gripping technologies and found that 3M Micro technology presents the perfect fit for superior golf glove performance in wet and humid conditions.

"With scores of FJ ambassadors like Rafael Cabrera-Bello already using our existing FJ RainGrip in competition, I strongly encourage golfers to take advantage of this advanced new offering."

The FJ RainGrip Xtreme is available from September 2013 with a RRP of £13.50 per glove or £24.00 for a right- and left-hand pair.
