Mizuno JPX wedges have been launched to complement the JPX800 iron range. The Mizuno JPX wedges should be slightly more forgiving than the company’s new MP-R12 wedge.
The JPX wedges feature Mizuno’s Quad Cut grooves with face milling for maximum spin from all conditions under the new rules. The triple cut sole with a blunted leading edge increases playability by ensuring ideal turf interaction, while the cavity back provides added forgiveness. The bevelled trailing edge shouyld provide more versatility and the clean midsole allows for maximum use of the bounce angle.
The Mizuno JPX wedges will be available in lofts of 50˚, 52˚, 54˚, 56˚, 58 and 60˚. The steel shafts are Dynalite Gold XP while the graphite option is Fujikura Orochi. The Mizuno JPX wedges will be available from mid-September 2011. The Mizuno JPX wedge series will cost £80 per club in steel or £115 in graphite.
