As a 'feel player' Bubba Watson hates changing his equipment, so has surprisingly been using PING's new S55 model since the BMW Championship last September.
As with most of the American's clubs, the specs are far from standard, with his 3-PW plus an inch in length and the 3-5-irons set with an extreme heel grind. The grips are massively oversized, too, with 10 wraps of tape on the top and 12 wraps on the bottom.
The left-hander's 8.5° G25 driver is also unique, and not least because it is pink. It also features the racing stripe found on PING’s i25 driver, making Watson’s one of a kind.
The shaft is a True Temper Grafalloy BiMatrx, a graphite model with steel in the bottom section, a combination he has used since 2004.
He also carries a G25 4-wood with 16.5° of loft, which is 42 inches long.
Although his wedges are standard, his putter (a PING Anser Milled 1) features a rainbow-like finish that Watson originally saw while visiting PING. It is 34.5 inches long, with 3° loft.
Like so many at the Masters, Watson used Titleist’s Pro V1x, his model of choice since he started out on tour.
