Wilson Staff C100 irons launched

New Wilson Staff C100 irons – designed to deliver extra playability and distance – have been added to the brand’s ‘Control’ range for 2014.

Wilson Staff C100 irons look like a player’s club at address, but feature technology to promote distance, accuracy and forgiveness.

Wilson’s new C100 irons sport an optimised head design with a black PDV finish to minimise visual appearance and reduce glare.

Exoskeleton weighting – accounting for a third of the total head mass – helps increase MOI for improved distance and forgiveness.

Wilson Staff C100 irons – which replace the company’s Ci11 irons – have been constructed with a stronger stainless steel material, allowing Wilson Staff engineers to create the thinnest-faced ‘Control’ iron to date for faster ball speeds.

“Based on our extensive player test results, the C100 is one of the longest-playing irons on the market,” said Michael Vrska, Wilson Golf’s Global Director for R&D.

“Exoskeleton technology makes the C100 irons very easy to hit and, when combined with the midsize head, it provides the perfect blend of control and distance for golfers who want to get down to single figures.”

Wilson Staff C100 irons sit in the middle of Wilson’s Feel-Control-Distance system.

FG Tour M3 ‘Feel’ irons are designed for players who value shot-shaping and precision, while D-100 irons will suit those seeking extra yardage and forgiveness.

The Wilson Staff C100 irons are available from February in CL 100 steel shafts (£449) or Aldila RIP Phenom 75 graphite shafts (£549).
