The adipower boost golf shoes are designed to put a spring in your step
adidas adipower boost golf shoes – which feature innovative new cushioning technology – have been launched.
There are three models within the new family: the standard adipower boost, the adipower boost boa and adipower sport boost.
Always one to innovate with its shoes, adidas says its latest model will give you ‘endless energy’.
The new boost technology is a more efficient cushioning design that provides a spring feeling underfoot as you walk.
This increased energy return should in turn help you feel fresher for longer in comparison to using heavier shoes with traditional soles.
To put the spring in your step, adidas takes thousands of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) energy capsules and fuses them together using a high-pressure steam moulding process.
These capsules then store and release energy more efficiently than the traditional EVA foam adidas used to use, because they don’t harden and soften when temperatures fluctuate, and so retain their consistent spring-like feel.
The adipower boost shoe will also feature things like a lace-in saddle, fitsleeve and tongue wrapping to offer a more precise and comfortable fit.
An external heel counter adds lateral stability and support, while the gripmore cleats return.
However, they now vary in sizes and feature in strategic locations to deliver more traction.
There is also an adipower sport boost model, which doesn’t feature the gripmore cleats to ensure it’s lighter.
Its stretchable, waterproof upper is also made from a lighter material, as opposed to the more robust soft and breathable microfibre leather uppers found on the standard boost model.
The shoes come in a variety of different colour schemes (as displayed below) with more traditional palettes supplemented by more vibrant designs.
