Former major champion Sandy Lyle has signed a two-year ball and club deal with Bridgestone Golf.

The 54-year-old will use the B-330 golf ball on the European Seniors Tour this season, along with Bridgestone Golf irons and driver. He will also carry the brand's Tour Staff bag.

Lyle has now joined the likes of Nick Price and Fred Couples as Bridgestone staff members on the seniors' circuit.

"Signing with Bridgestone Golf and joining such a great line-up of class players is a real boost for me and I'm really looking forward to playing the B-330 ball, which has impressed me a lot," said the five-time European Ryder Cup team member.

Other Bridgestone staff players include 2012 FedEx Cup champion Brandt Snedeker, Matt Kuchar and Paula Creamer.

"We're delighted that a golfing legend like Sandy has put his faith in Bridgestone Golf balls," said Steve Kettlewell, MD for Bridgestone Golf UK.

"He will helps to lift the brand profile further across Europe - especially in the UK and Ireland where he is held in such esteem by so many avid golfers."
