Here we look at the equipment free agent and world number one Brooks Koepka currently has in the bag

Brooks Koepka What’s In The Bag?

Despite winning four Majors in the past couple of years and getting to world number one, American Brooks Koepka is somehow still an underdog going into many tournaments.

Below, we look at the apparel and the equipment used by the free agent…

Koepka, like several other professionals nowadays, has no equipment contract so has the freedom to use whatever clubs he chooses.

He was a Nike staffer but has had to look elsewhere for his equipment after the company announced they were to stop making hardware in August 2016. As time went on the Nike clubs in his bag started to get replaced by other brands offerings, but for a long time the one that remained was the Nike Vapor Fly 3-iron. Interestingly this could be changing soon as Koepka was seen testing a P790 UDI from TaylorMade in Abu Dhabi.

He used a TaylorMade M2, M3 and M5 driver in the past but right now he has switched to a new TaylorMade SiM model. Interestingly he has decided to put the SiM Max in the bag as opposed to lots of other tour players who have gone for the SiM.

Koepka is one of the longest hitters out there averaging 308.1 yards off the tee.

He also has the TaylorMade M2 Tour HL 3 wood in the bag at 16.5 degrees although he has been testing the new TaylorMade SiM fairway.

He then has his Nike Vapor Fly 3-iron. or TaylorMade P790 UDI iron.

The irons he used for all three of his Major victories were the Mizuno JPX900 Tour models however he has recently switched to the JPX919 Tour irons as indicated below.

Koepka had two Titleist SM7’s in the bag but he was spotted testing the SM8’s so we expect those to go in the bag in the future.

His final wedge is an older Vokey SM4 TVD.

He still has his Tour Only Scotty Cameron T10 Select Newport putter, fitted with a soft Beryllium insert.

His ball is the Titleist Pro V1x and he uses Nike apparel as well.
