The new ECCO Cage golf shoes debut a new heel wrap design that ECCO say will increase your stability, flexibility and underfoot comfort

ECCO has continued to make strides throughout 2015 with the continued popularity of its stylish spikeless shoes, but with 2016 on the horizon, the new ECCO Cage golf shoes, which feature eight cleats, could be set to steal the show.

The distinctive new model includes a new heel wrap design that gives the shoe its name, a feature ECCO say will make playing and walking feel better than ever.

The new fully-integrated DiP wrap system has been introduced to promote increased stability, flexibility and cushioning, and works by wrapping from the heel through the midsole and across the toe box, as you can see below.

An anatomically designed outsole will also align and move in unison with your foot’s key ligaments and muscles, with the snug heel combining with a roomier forefoot area that allows your toes to move more naturally.

The lightweight Caldera leather used is stain-resistant, easy-to-clean and exceptionally water-repellant thanks to ECCO’s HYDROMAX treatment, making it a perfect foil for tough winter conditions.

As featured on the popular spikeless ECCO BIOM Hybrid 2 shoe, the direct-injection process also returns, bonding the upper and outsole unit together to create a one-piece shoe without the use of glue or stitching, for a more water-tight seal.

A CHAMP SLIM-Lok cleat system aids maximum stability

Underneath all the technology you’ll find a CHAMP SLIM-Lok cleat system, which houses eight cleats placed specifically - five in the forefoot and three in the heel - for maximum stability.

The new ECCO Cage golf shoes are likely to be worn by some of ECCO's tour stars, who include the likes of Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjørn, Marcel Siem and Thongchai Jaidee.
