Harris English What's In The Bag?

Harris English enjoyed his best season to date in 2021, collecting victories at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and Travelers Championship where he had to defeat Kramer Hickok in an eight-hole playoff. As a result of his fantastic form, he earned a spot on the history-making US Ryder Cup team, claiming one win and two losses for the week. Harris English WITB: Full Specs

Driver: Ping G430 LST (9 at 9.2 degrees) with either Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6 X or Fujikura Ventus TR Red 6 X

3-wood: Ping G400 (14.5 degrees) with Fujikura Atmos Blue Tour Spec 8 X shaft

Utility: Ping G410 Crossover (20 at 21 degrees) with Fujikura Atmos Black Hybrid 9X shaft

Irons (4-9): Ping i500 & Ping Blueprint, all with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts

Wedges: Ping Glide 4.0 (46SS, 52SS, 56SS, 60SS), all with S400 shafts apart from 46 degree which has a X100 shaft.

Driver

Ping G430 LST

Starting off with the big stick and English for many years had the Ping G400 in, ignoring the newer G410 and G425 models. However in 2023 he has moved to the G430 LST driver interestingly. We believe it has around 9 degrees of loft and he actually carries two shafts at the moment and seems to switch regularly, and they are either the Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6 X or Fujikura Ventus TR Red 6 X.

Fairways

Ping G400

Just like his driver, English has the Ping G400, with a Fujikura Atmos Blue Tour Spec 7 X shaft making way for 14.5 degrees of loft. Not only does the American include the G400, but he also has a Ping G410 Crossover which seems to come in and out of his setup. The G410 has 21 degrees of loft.

Irons

Ping Blueprint

As mentioned above, English does occasionally put the G410 Crossover utility iron as a three-iron into play, but the main bulk of his set comes in the form of the Ping Blueprint, which starts at a four-iron and goes all the way down to a nine-iron. All of the irons feature a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft.

Wedges

Ping Glide 4.0

In the scoring section of his bag, English has four Ping wedges, all of which are Ping Glide 4.0's which have 46, 52, 56 and 60 degrees of loft. What is slightly different is that the American has a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 in his 46 degree model but then S400's in the rest of his wedges.

Putter

Ping Scottsdale Hohum

The final club in the bag is English's putter, which is a Ping Scottsdale Hohum. Although we are unsure as to how long it has been in the American's bag, we believe it may be a few years as, at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, English's putter grip was completely ripped at the top of shaft. He has since had it regripped.

Titleist Pro V1

One of the many players who has the Titleist Pro V1 in play, English has been using this golf ball for many, many years, with its Softer Cast Urethane Elastomer Cover System and Faster Low Spin Casing Layer making it arguably the best golf ball on the market.

For his apparel and footwear, English goes for Peter Millar and FootJoy.
