Keith Mitchell What's In The Bag? 2024 Update
A closer look at Mizuno man Keith Mitchell's full line-up of clubs
Keith Mitchell What's In The Bag?
It's easy to spot Keith Mitchell on the course. The Mizuno ambassador is usually wearing a distinctive visor with the brand's famous logo on the side. Here, we take a closer look at what the American has in his bag.
Driver
What Driver Does Keith Mitchell Use?
At the top of his bag, Mitchell plays a Mizuno ST-Z 230 driver, 9.5° loft, which is fitted with a Project X HZRDUS T1100 75 shaft. The ST-Z 230 is an excellent all rounder that provides a good blend of distance and forgiveness. It's aspirational aesthetics and powerful feel further bolster its appeal. If you're looking for a forgiving model, you'll find this driver on our list of the most forgiving drivers 2024.
Fairway Woods
What Fairway Wood Does Keith Mitchell Use?
At the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February, Mitchell still had his Titleist fairway woods in the bag. He carries two: a 16.5° Titleist TSR3 and a 21° Titleist TS2, both of which have a Mitsubishi Tensei CK Pro Blue 90 TX shaft.
Irons
What Irons Does Keith Mitchell Use?
Into the irons, and Mitchell carries a stunning two iron - a Mizuno Pro 225. This was a club that made our editor's choice list in 2022. A distance iron, we found it to be fast and forgiving when we tested it, and we can fully appreciate why Mitchell would consider this a bit of an old favorite.
There's no denying that the American has some of the best golf blade irons in his bag - the Mizuno Pro 241 irons. Mitchell has 4-PW with the KBS-C-Taper 130 X shaft. The purist will enjoy everything about this club, comfortably slotting in as one of the best Mizuno irons ever.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Keith Mitchell Use?
We're not 100 per cent certain of Mitchell's wedge line-up for 2024. We do know that he has two Mizuno T22 wedges in the beautiful denim copper finish, 51° and 55°, which have the KBS C-Taper 130 X shaft.

In 2023, Mitchell also had a 60° Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks Proto. As far as we know, he hasn't changed this club for 2024. The Mizuno T22 wedges have replaced the two other Vokeys that he used to have, which takes him closer to a full bag of Mizuno clubs.
We tested the T-22 wedges back in 2022, and they were right up there with the best wedges that the manufacturer had produced to date, providing exceptional spin control with a buttery soft feel.
Putter
What Putter Does Keith Mitchell Use?
Mitchell would appear to still be using a TaylorMade Spider Tour putter, which has an eye-catching copper finish. He did previously play with a Hydro Blast design, but he started the year in Hawaii with what looks like the copper finish mallet and a Golf Pride Pro Only grip.
Ball
What Ball Does Keith Mitchell Use?
Mitchell plays with the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball. In our testing at the start of 2023, it was the added consistency in the long game that shone through. You'll find more on this model in our list of the best premium golf balls 2024.
Apparel/Shoes
What Shoes Does Keith Mitchell Wear?
Mitchell is regarded as one of the best-dressed players on the PGA Tour. He wears FootJoy shoes and Sid Mashburn clothing. His partnership with the US clothing brand began a few years ago and whilst it might not be a well-known name in golfing circles, it's a company the American is proud to wear.
