Sunderland of Scotland has introduced the new WhisperDry Hush jacket, featuring a fully-integrated and rainproof hood to ensure 100% dryness in all weather conditions.
The WhisperDry Hush converts instantly into a rainproof hood, a stark contrast to the absorbent cotton caps utilised on many other waterproofs.
What’s more, the foldaway design ensures complete coverage of the neck area when unfurled and pulled tight, stopping trickles of rain from creeping under the collar and down your back.
The WhisperDry Hush also comes equipped with four-way stretch construction for excellent freedom of movement and knitted tricot lining for exceptional comfort and warmth.
“Our ‘scrunch-free’ WhisperDry fabric makes the jacket the quietest waterproof in the world, because it’s so soft and stretchable,” said Sunderland marketing director, Brian Mair.
“And now the innovative addition of a hood is taking total rain protection to new territory for a golf jacket, as well as looking extremely contemporary.”
The jacket has a number of other stand-out features, including sealed seam construction, water repellent front zip, external chest pocket and ultra-lightweight comfort.
The WhisperDry Hush is available, with an RRP of £170, in sizes S-XXXL and in two colours: Black/Red and Black/Blue.
Matching trousers are also available in black, with leg lengths of 29″, 31″ and 33″ and waist sizes S-XXXL.
The 2012/2013 range is one of the most technically-advanced collections ever produced by Sunderland of Scotland, which has been selected over the years to make the apparel for Ryder Cup, Curtis Cup and Solheim Cup teams.
The principal focus has centred around high-tech protection against specific elements, with different fabrics employed across its main four Rainwear, Windwear, Coldwear and Sunwear categories.
