Become Britain's Best Putter

Here is your chance to become the very first Britain's Best Putter

Become Britain's Best Putter

Britain's Best Putter is unique because it is the first nationwide search for the best amateur putter in the UK.

The competition is FREE to enter and will be run in association with Odyssey, the Number One putter brand. Anyone can take part and we hope that it will encourage you to become a better putter and have great fun in the process.

The Format The search for BBP starts at local level with the first 300 golf clubs to register their interest entitled to hold a qualifying putting event before the end of July 2012.

Of course non-golf club members are invited to take part too and hold their own putting contest at a driving range, pitch and putt or crazy golf course. We even want office workers to take part by holding a carpet ‘putt-off' in their lunch hour!

The winners from each event will be featured in the pages of Golf Monthly magazine and listed on our BBP website. They will then get a free invitation to play in our BBP Regional Final at a prestigious venue in August/September.

There will be six Regional Finals in total and the winners will be treated to a putting masterclass from an Odyssey ambassador, be given the opportunity to test the latest Odyssey putters, receive an Odyssey goody bag and have the chance to win a place in our Britain's Best Putter Grand Final in October 2012

The Grand Final There will be a total of 24 Grand Finalists (four winners from each Regional Final) who will be treated like a VIP with a fantastic day out at The Grove in Hertfordshire.

As part of their prize they will receive some exclusive Odyssey products and some final tips on their technique from Odyssey's putting ambassadors before putting their skills to the ultimate test - the final putt-off. But there can only be one championÖ

The Ultimate Prize Along with the kudos of being crowned Britain's Best Putter and featured in Golf Monthly, Britain's best-selling golf magazine, the champion will also receive the ultimate prize - a fantastic golf break for two, staying in a five-star golf resort this autumn. The Rules There are no rules set in stone for the format, we are empowering you to create your own putting event, but here are a few suggestionsÖ

A stand-alone putting event played in a medal format, which could be run at the end of your monthly medal. A matchplay tournament creating excitement and buzz around your practice putting green, office carpet or even a local crazy putting course!

A fun family afternoon with a BBQ around the putting green - a great opportunity to get the whole club involved.

How to take part?

Extra prizes...
