Congressional Country Club: Hole 6
The 2011 US Open returns to Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. Here's your hole-by-hole guide to the Blue course that last hosted America's Open in 1997
Hole 6 Par 5 555 yards
The first of three par 5s was played as a long par-4 in 1997. At 555 yards it should be reachable for all the players. However, two small bunkers protect the front left of the green and the front right of the green is preceded by a larger water hazard making distance control a must. The green is split by a swale and pin positions turn this into a risk/reward hole.
