Hole 9 Par 4 505 yards
Hole Guide
For the second time on the front-nine, players are asked to tackle a par 4 over 500 yards. The 9th hole, which has been extended by 50 yards, may well be the toughest hole during the 2010 US Open. The fairway slopes to the right towards the ocean, leaving a hanging lie encouraging an approach shot towards the water. Even if the tee shot is placed in perfect position, there is still the challenge of at least 200 yards to a green that slopes away from you.
