The greens preparation for Round 2 of the Open Championship at Muirfield.

Tiger Woods putts Open 2013

As the second round tees off at the Open Championship at Muirfield, we have been looking at the greens preparation for today's round.

Last night the greens were hand watered and the sprinkler system was not used.  This morning the greens have been double cut at 4mm.

The greens are 10.5 feet as compared to 11 feet on Thursday first thing and selected greens have been rolled to bring them up to that pace.

The greens are expected to pick up pace during the day again but the dramatic increases of yesterday are not anticipated.

The watering has had no impact on the firmness values of the greens, which remain the same as yesterday.
