Turnberry Ailsa Course: Hole 3 Blaw Wearie
Double Open champion Padraig Harrington gives us his personal hole-by-hole course guide for the 2009 Open Championship venue at Turnberry Ailsa Course, where he will be bidding for a third straight Claret Jug.
The 2009 Open Championship:
3rd hole - Blaw Wearie, 166 yars, par 3
The third hole generally plays back into the wind. Players will need to avoid the second bunker down the left at 300 yards so will attempt to hit down the right half of the fairway leaving a long second shot to the hole, although the green is a big target to hit. A tough but straightforward par 4.
