Lee James triumphs at The Grove
Lee James cards a 67 to win 66 Pro Tour event at The Grove
Lee James claimed victory at the 66 Pro Tour's seventh event of the year at The Grove, on July 5.
The multiple Challenge Tour winner shot a peerless five-under-par 67 to win by one shot and went home with the £3,000 winner's prize.
James' nearest challenger was Mill Hill's Daniel Brooks who finished in outright second place after carding a 68.
The Grove, designed by Kyle Phillips, played over 7,200 yards from the back tees and the Hertfordshire course provided a stern but fair test for the 72 competitors.
Australia's Daniel Gaunt leads the Order of Merit after finishing his third consecutive tournament in tied third position.
The 66 Pro Tour has recently announced a new date on its schedule: at Burhill (Old Course), Monday 19 July.
