Nike Vapor Fly fairways and hybrids revealed

The new Nike Vapor Fly fairway woods and hybrids have been revealed, benefitting from the same technology in the drivers that increases launch and distance

The new Nike Vapor Fly fairway wood uses Nike’s tour-authentic chassis with upgraded technology to drive performance. Utilizing the same technology found within the Nike Vapor Fly drivers, the Nike Vapor Fly fairway wood features an extremely thin and light Flightweight Crown to move weight lower for a higher launch angle with less spin.

Five models in a Tour-inspired shape with an innovative new FlexLoft Fairway hosel allow for lofts from 12° to 22° at a standard or upright lie angle for a tour-level fit.

A Flightweight Crown is 30 per cent lighter than last year’s model resulting in a lower center of gravity and higher MOI for higher launch, less spin, and more forgiveness

A new HyperFlight face is thinned out around the perimeter to reduce ball speed loss across the face while a re-engineered Compression Channel creates a stronger springboard effect to amplify performance on miss hits.

Finally, the FlyBeam Reinforced Covert Cavity Back dramatically stiffens the chassis while redistributing weight to the heel and toe for maximum efficiency, tuned acoustics and forgiveness.

The fairway wood has an RRP of £179.99 with the MRC Tensei CK Blue 65F shaft or £199.99 with the MRC Diamana S+ Blue Board 70 shaft. Golf Pride Z-Grips come as standard.

The Vapor Fly Hybrid was completely redesigned for 2016. Working with Nike athletes such as Francesco Molinari, Nike Golf engineers created a hybrid with a refined, tour-driven profile to maximize versatility and shot making.

It features the same technological features as the fairway wood and has an RRP of £149.99 with the MRC Tensei CK Blue 80H shaft or £169.99 with the MRC Diamana S+ Blue Board 80H shaft. All of the Nike Vapor Fly range becomes available in shops on February 12th, 2016.
