Golf Monthly's Top 100 golf shots

After much time and effort Golf Monthly have come up with a list of the Top 100 golf shots ever

After months of blood, sweat and tears, Golf Monthly's January issue includes a 17-page-feature listing the 100 Greatest Golf Shots of all time. Rated in order, the ranking points system takes into account shot difficulty, importance, pressure and flair.

While our list is by no means meant to be definitive, its aim is to highlight and create debate over many of the game's finest moments. "We wanted to stick our necks on the line and give it a go by ranking the shots," says GM assistant editor Alex Narey, "but we appreciate the list will not meet with everyone's approval."

Without wanting to give too much away to those who have yet to see it, Tiger Woods has no fewer than seven shots in the list, including three in the Top 10. Fellow great Seve Ballesteros also has seven, with the next best the six efforts by Jack Nicklaus.

Golf Monthly welcomes your feedback. Have we got it right or have we made a glaring error with our choices? How can one shot be so much better than another, whether it's a six-foot putt to win a Major or an approach from the rough to set up a match-winning birdie in your monthly medal?

Look out for the full list in the January issue of Golf Monthly, where you'll find expert analysis and opinion on every shot to make the Top 100. One other interesting fact, Terry Wogan managed to force his way in, so there is hope for everyone.
