Morley Hayes has announced an exclusive partnership to host a Lee Westwood Golf Academy this summer when the Ryder Cup star stops by from July 27-29.

The decision for the golf resort, which boasts a championship length 18-hole golf course and four star hotel, to host one of Westwood’s nine nationwide academies for 7-16 year olds compliments the status of the club as the home of the East Midlands Golf Academy.

The Lee Westwood Golf Academy, held in partnership with The Co-operative, will run at nine specialist venues across the country in the ten days following The Open Championship. Each Academy will provide three full days of expert tuition for boys and girls of all abilities.

As well as learning about the game, there's the incentive of one overall winner from each Academy receiving the prize of a day’s golf with Lee at Lindrick Golf Club on August 31, 2009.

James Whatley, PGA Golf Professional and Head of Instruction for EMGA at Morley Hayes, said: “The Lee Westwood Golf Academy is a great opportunity to learn what it takes to become one of the world’s best golfers.”

Westwood is currently warming up for the US Masters at Augusta National in Georgia.
