Golf factor returns
The junior talent search returns to Yorkshire after two successful years spread across four counties
Golf Factor is a talent search for junior golfers in England. The events are fun filled family occasions that aim to support young golfers across the country. This week the well established event returns to Yorkshire.
All junior golfers with a handicap are eligible to enter Golf Factor, which this year includes a new category, "Future Stars", for young people who are new to the game.
Players must hit a variety of shots in front of a panel of judges who score the candidates performances. Successful golfers progress through to a boot camp where further skills are tested and the final is played on a golf course.
Winners receive a fantastic package of golf support that includes golf equipment and swing coaching provided by Direct Golf UK and John Letters Golf Academy. All participants receive a goody bag for entering though.
Alex Robinson, winner of Golf Factor 2010, encourages junior golfers to enter: "Golf Factor is the best thing I have ever done and the support I have received since winning the final has really improved my game. It's great fun and a good test of your nerve under pressure!"
