Berwick upon Tweed (Goswick Links) Golf Club, is holding its inaugural Scratch Open on September 10, 2011, with an entry fee of just £30 for the 36-hole competition.
A bumper prize fund of £1300 is up for grabs with £500 going to the winner along with the ‘Rodger Bowl’.
It is hoped that over time the Scratch Open at Goswick will become one of the major Scratch Opens in Scottish golf. Entries have now opened for what promises to be a major highlight on the North-East’s golfing calendar.
September will find the course in fantastic condition so all serious golfers are encouraged to enter as soon as possible.
