Ken Schofield Named PowerPlay Golf's New Chairman
Ken Schofield has been named the new chairman of PowerPlay Golf
PowerPlay Golf has announced that acclaimed sports administrator Ken Schofield has been named the company's new chairman.
Schofield, who began life as a banker, came to notoriety in the sport of golf as the Executive Director of the PGA European Tour from 1975-2004, during which time he oversaw dramatic growth in revenues and popularity as well as the introduction of European Tour Productions, which today is the single largest producer of TV golf programming in the world.
Along with Schofield's appointment PowerPlay Golf has also announced they will stage a press conference on Wednesday the 13th of April at The Celtic Manor Resort in the City of Newport, Wales.
During the press conference, which will be streamed live on PowerPlay Golf's website www.powerplay-golf.com, the company will unveil details of its new televised golf series which will be done in collaboration with international sports marketing giants IMG.
Also to be covered during the event are the date, field and location for the opening event along with the details of a major global sponsorship deal and the strategy to implement PowerPlay Golf at courses around the world.
