Tee Off Together

Golfers across the north of England are making connections on and off the fairway thanks to a dedicated new social networking service.

TeeOffTogether.co.uk enables players to befriend their fellow golfers online, set up matches and enjoy specially organised golf days.

Founder Lynda Grey, 50, from Harrogate, said: "I was trying to find a way of meeting people who share my passion for golf, but I couldn't find anyone providing the service I wanted in my area. I love to throw a party and I'm passionate about getting people together around golf - so I thought I'd set it up myself."

Tee Off Together has just finished its 2010 pilot season, highlights of which included trips to the Rockliffe Hall, Romanby Hall, Longhirst Hall and Shrigley Hall.

Many 'TOTs' - as the members have nicknamed themselves - who meet on the website or the golf days, have organised their own mixed doubles matches and extended invitations to one another's clubs.

Although Tee Off Together is not a dating service, Lynda says many of the players who have joined so far are looking for love.

Anyone who is interested on becoming a member should visit TeeOffTogether.co.uk for further details.
