The world famous Red Arrows are coming to Kendleshire Golf Club near Bristol on September 29 to play golf with anyone who wants to try their skill at beating the RAF's world class aerobatic display team. The Golf Day is to raise funds exclusively for fly2help – the Gloucestershire based charity that supports people facing illness, tragedy or life trauma. The Red Arrows and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight have donated their time and resources to offer all-comers the chance to play golf with them – with the fees and sponsorship being donated to fly2help and the work it does for children and adults whose lives can be lifted through the gift of flight. Golfers can opt to create an exclusive team of three players with a Red Arrow or BBMF member playing in their team, can choose to support individual or a pair of places towards a team, or sponsor part of the games through longest drive, nearest the pin, or hole sponsorship. As the golf draws to a close, there will be a private display of the Rolls-Royce owned Mk19 Supermarine Spitfire. Players can then enjoy the opportunity to socialise with the Red Arrows and members of the BBMF over an early evening two-course dinner and prize giving. Bookings can be made online via the fly2help website homepage fly2help.org or by calling 01285 770821 for more information.
