Thirsk and Northallerton Golf Club are to host a special charity golf day in aid of Cancer Research UK on May 25, 2010.

Entries to the event are priced at £45 and include an 18-hole round as well as a bacon roll and coffee on arrival, refreshments at the half way house, a pie and peas supper following the round and an award ceremony to top the day off.

In order to raise more money for Cancer Research UK, the Thirsk and Northallerton Golf Club will be hosting a charity auction with prizes including golf accessories and luxury days out.

To confirm your place alongside golfing societies, former professional footballers and other budding golfers, please send a cheque payable to "Blacksmiths Arms" to Thirsk and Northallerton Golf Club, Thornton Le Street, Thirsk, YO7 4AB or pay in person by May 14.

The post-round hospitality and entertainment will be held at the nearby Blacksmiths Arms.
