Turnberry, the Luxury Collection Resort is offering new and unprecedented access to the iconic Ailsa golf course for visitors to Ayrshire during this spring and summer.

Turnberry has three exclusive golfing experiences, including 'Sunset Times' on The Ailsa course, which can now be booked in advance with no restrictions, seven days per week. Tee off times after 3pm cost only £90 per person.

For those wishing to play the Ailsa course earlier in the day, Turnberry is offering a fourball special rate between 1pm and 3pm, bookable two months in advance. These rates start from just £395 in April and £550 from May to September.

Alternatively, groups of 12 golfers or more can enjoy 'The Links Unlimited' package - the perfect short break for those wanting to play multiple rounds of golf.

The experience includes a round of golf on the Championship Ailsa Course and unlimited play on the Kintyre Course. Prices start from £175 per person for twin occupancy and becomes available from April 1 to September 30, 2010.

There are a selection of restaurants, bars and lounges introduced as part of the Resort's recent multi-million pound renovation programme.

The true favourite amongst enthusiasts is the 'Duel in the Sun', which takes its name from the epic contest played at Turnberry between Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus during the 1977 Open Championship. The inviting bar offers a fine selection of bottled beers, wines and cocktails.

There is also the busy 'Tappie Toorie' restaurant, situated in the Clubhouse, offering spectacular views over the opening and closing holes of both the Ailsa and Kintyre courses.
